Look no further if you are looking for an RV campground that is pet-friendly and family friendly with fishing and a pond. Ballyhoo Family Campground is located on the Cumberland Plateau. This campground is a good place to relax and get away from all the noises of the city.
The RV park has an extensive dog walking area and is well-equipped. There are also a few other amenities that will not make you millionaire. A disc golf course is available at the RV park. This allows you to play while you aren’t in your RV. The campsite boasts many other perks beyond the obvious. There is a 9-hole Frisbee Course, a putting Green, and even a Pond. It's conveniently located near Byrd Lake. The campground is in a beautiful setting, and the owners are more than willing to share the wealth.
Some campgrounds offer just electricity and cable TV. Other campgrounds have full RV services with all the trimmings. While I haven’t visited the Ballyhoo Family Campground in full disclosure, it’s an excellent place to spend some quality time. According to me, Doris Watkins (the owner) is friendly and they will probably host future guests.
The best thing about the ballyhoo or batty is that they are family-owned and operated. This means that they will be happy to assist you when possible. You can contact them via the phone, email, or Facebook, or you can just show up on their doorstep. The site is set in a peaceful, wooded setting. There are a few waterfalls nearby if you're feeling brave to jump into the river. You should bring a jacket or light raincoat in summer.
You will find a small pond, some trees and adorable resident ducks among the many attractions of this campground. This RV park is a favorite among families and tourists for many decades. The campsite is just four miles away. It's also located in a peaceful, rural setting that is an absolute joy.
