While beaches on the coast may not be well-known for having sand, Cliff Head has some spectacular views. Slapton Sands Camping and Caravanning Club offers some of Devon's finest facilities. It is also the only one of its type. The club has 115 spacious pitches on grassy fields. It also offers many tours in the surrounding area with one of its members. The club also organizes boat trips to Totnes. It is free to visit the site.
Although you might not have realized it, Cliff Head campsite is free. There are decent facilities at the campsite, including a toilet and a bathroom. A washing machine and dryer are available. There is also a block of basic amenities with a refrigerator and freezer.
Pembrokeshire Heritage Coast campsite offers a stunning view of Milford Haven estuary. Many local beaches are also close by. There are plenty of opportunities for surfing and swimming. Site shops sell local produce. The site also offers free Wi Fi. A few of the amenities include a shower and camping snugs that can be rented.
The best way to see the most of the coastline is to take a cruise, but you can also take a ferried trip to the Isle of Arran. The nearby RSPB reserve can be visited at Leighton Moss. You can also visit the St Davids Cathedral, the most impressive cathedral in Britain and the smallest British city.
You can also head north and visit Holy Island and Lindisfarne. It is possible to find a shipwreck in the sand. Turquoise Bay National Park is also available. Book a hotel or campervan if you feel like a little break from camping. If you don't feel like cooking, the nearby Eden Project is worth a visit.
While most campsites are found in the coast area, there are also many options for camping in the nearby countryside. Gibraltar Farm in Morecambe Bay offers a separate site, with 10 acres old woodland, and a modern shower block. It's located in an ideal location so it's easy for people to access.
