
Holly Bluff Family Campground is an idyllic campground in North Carolina near Asheboro. It is a camping staple for over 40 years and a family favourite for many. A large swimming pool, a miniature golf course, as well as a church service are the main attractions. Located within the Uwharrie Mountains of Central Piedmont, the campground is the perfect destination for families with children and weekend warriors alike.
Holly Bluff camp has about 100 campsites spread over sixty acres. The park offers many amenities, such as a large pool and a mini-golf course. There is also a flight simulator on site for kids. There is also a church service and bingo. The North Carolina Aviation Museum is also located at the park. It showcases some of North Carolina’s military equipment.

The campground has been around since the beginning and has experienced many incarnations. Ramona Shaw (Bill Shaw) built the original campground. They laid the road to the site as well as the first water lines. Bill died in 1999. His widow, Ramona, still runs the show at the helm of the campground, with a few of her grandchildren pitching in for the day to day.
Both locals and tourists from far and near love the camp. It is located just a short distance from Greensboro or Asheboro. Visitors come from everywhere to witness the Richard Petty motorcoach races. The Birkhead Hills Wilderness, home to the oldest mountains of North America, is located just minutes from the campground. This is a great place to get back in touch with nature and take in the beauty of the outdoors.
The Holly Bluff camp has been around for more than half a century and offers travelers all the comforts of home in a setting that is welcoming and fun. The staff are friendly and the facilities at the camp are well maintained. The best part about the campground? It's dog-friendly. Although there is a pet fee, it's not prohibitive.
There are plenty of activities available on-site and around the area. The North Carolina Aviation Museum is also available for a tour. You can also enjoy games like a bouncy castle and corn hole tournaments.

Holly Bluff Family campground is the best campground around Asheboro. It boasts an impressive list, making it the only Trinity County campground with such amenities. Among the most noteworthy are its ten acre miniature golf course, a swanky spa, and a large shelter for church services. There are also two swimming pools. One is a tad small, but it was the first of its kind in the area.
