The vast majority of camping areas in Western Australia are free. Many campgrounds offer water hookups, toilets, and showers. There are also many activities, such as swimming, fishing, and hiking. No matter if you are an experienced camper or just looking for a relaxing getaway you will find it.

Betty's Beach in South West WA is a very popular place to camp free of charge. It is located only 50 km east from Albany and offers stunning views. It's great for surfing. This is a great place to bring the whole family together and spend some quality time together. It's less suitable for large rigs and camper-trailers, however. It is suitable for smaller tents or caravans. You will not find many amenities, but it is a basic campground.

Parry Beach is another excellent spot for free camping. It has a large beach with tall myrtle shrubs and beach boat launching. This is a good spot for swimming. It is also where you can see local stingrays. It is a great stopover location between Port Headland and Broome.

Marble Bar Waterhole is an historic waterhole located approximately half an hour from Marble Bar. It is located under the cliffs. This is a great spot to stop and take a breather and enjoy the beauty surrounding the area. It is accessible from anywhere in the world.


The Bibbulmun Path is a popular walk that follows a five-kilometer stretch along the beach. While the trails are not difficult they can prove challenging for the faint-hearted. It is an excellent place to explore the natural landscapes in Southwest Australia. You will find wildlife here as well as beautiful landscapes. It is located about 25 minutes south of Margaret River.

The Charles and Mary Eder Unit can be found near Oroville. It is the wintering ground of white-tailed deer. It is free to camp and has a reader board at the entrance. There are also picnic tables and toilets at the campground. You can also use the swimming hole. The road to the campground is paved all year.

Betty's Beach Free Campground is a small campground that allows tents. Although it has very few amenities, the views are spectacular. You might choose a more modern camper park, if you travel with a larger vehicle.

Fishing lovers will find the Gorge Lake Campground a great place. It is near Ross Lake and Diablo Lake. It also has a boat ramp, tent pads, fire rings, and a boat-launch. It is also located in the North Cascades and is open year-round. It is a peaceful, rustic, and completely free camping site.
