Shenandoah Acres Campground lies in Stuarts Draft. This campground is great for camping. The Shenandoah National Park includes the campground, which allows for hiking, fishing, and horseback-riding.

The campground is a family-friendly campground, and it is growing. It is located on 134 acres. The campsites have full or partial hookups, including water and electricity. The campground is open seven days a week and is designed to make it convenient for families to enjoy a relaxing vacation. You can choose from a range of amenities, including mini-golf and a lake. There are also basketball courts, an arcade, and a laundromat. The plan is to add 112 more campsites.

Rupert Blacka and Helen Blacka were the first to establish Shenandoah Acres. This was in the 1930s. The campground was originally known as America's Finest Inland Beach. The Blacka family also owned a small restaurant and a spring-fed lake. A miniature golf course was available and there were trails for horseback riders. It was a resort that offered fresh spring water.

It was shut down during the 2000s. But it was reopened by Good Faith LLC in 2014. Good Faith LLC purchased the campsite in 2005. Since 2005, Shenandoah Acres has been trying to reopen the campground. In 2010, the campground was changed to the Mountain Spring RV Resort. It is owned and operated by Sun Communities, Inc. It is one the company's 430 resorts located in 32 states. The campground features a swimming pool, playground, and cafe. The campground is pet-friendly, but there are rules.


Over the years, the campground has been managed by several different owners. The Blacka family, originally the owner, relocated to Canada to manage the property. Lockland Management purchased it. After many years, Sun Communities, Inc. purchased the campground. It was purchased by SA Hold Co., LLC in 2020 for $3 million. The new owners intend to renovate the property but won't provide any specific details.

Shenandoah Crossing provides full-service camping and 41 sites with partial or full hookups. This campground is ideal for large rigs, and has plenty of space to accommodate slides and pull-thru vehicles. The campground is set on a picturesque 60-acre lake. It is surrounded in lush pasture lands. It is less than an hour away from Shenandoah National Park. The campground has easy access to Skyline Drive which offers panoramic views of Blue Ridge Mountains.

You can also go kayaking or swim in the lakes or rivers. There are four playgrounds and tennis and basketball courts. You will also find standard utility upgrades available, including cable television, internet and propane. It is a very family-friendly campground, and it is located on a beautiful mountaintop, which offers excellent views.

Over the past 80 year, Shenandoah Acres became a popular tourist destination. It is located in the Shenandoah valley and is surrounded by mountains. The campground is close to the Shenandoah National Park, with a variety of hiking and biking trails and a section of the Appalachian Trail.
