The Lake Raystown Family Camping Resort can be found in Huntingdon, Pennsylvania. This 100-acre family campground provides cabin, RV, tent and RV accommodations. It features a catch and release pond, free WiFi, and 60 acres of walking trails. There is also a marina and a golf course at the resort. This is a great spot to take your pet along on vacation.

There are two public beaches on the lake. The Seven Points area is the best place to find a beach. A houseboat can be rented on the lake, or you can hire a fishing guide to take you out on water. A nice bonus is that the lake is also home to a number of museums filled with local history. For those of you with a taste for racing, the Hesston Speedway is a good bet.

There are several attractions within walking distance, including Trough Valley State Park, Allegrippis Trails and Whipple Dam State Park. These attractions are all within walking distance from the campground. The Allegrippis Trails actually forms part of Raystown Mountain Bike Training Park. The park is small but offers some of best mountain biking trails in the entire state. There are also Mount Hermon and Six Points ski areas nearby.

The lake's first-class campsites are close to the water. There are 250 campsites on over 100 acres of land. Each includes the requisite amenities, including a fire ring, electric, and water. They are also near the aforementioned allegrippis: the hiking and biking trails.

You can't expect to find a luxurious RV or full-service cabin at the resort. However, you can expect to get a nice room for the money. Also, there are a number of perks to the Raystown Lake Family Camping Resort, such as a catch and release pond, a marina, a swimming pool, and pet friendly rooms. You will also find the resort on a scenic road through the Blue Ridge Mountains.

The lake is also surrounded by a whopping 21,000 acres of public land, much of which is owned by the Army Corps of Engineers. You can see that there are many areas that are protected from residential development. This is the paradox of it all. While there are some homes that have been built in the area, none of them were well-respected. One home was unfortunately lost on its way down. Cool fact: The resort also has a dog park. You must keep your pet on a minimum of six feet from your vehicle.
