If you are looking to find an RV park that is family-friendly and pet friendly, with a fishing pond, and some history, then look no further. Ballyhoo Family Campground, located in the Cumberland Plateau is a great place to escape the city hustle and bustle.
This RV park is well equipped and has a large dog walk area, as well as a few other amenities that won't make you a millionaire. The RV park also has a disc golf course, so you can hit the links when you aren't mucking around in your shiny new RV. Other than the obvious, the campsite also offers a 9-hole Frisbee and putting green as well as a small pond. The campsite is close to Byrd Lake. This is a great place for a picnic. The campground is in a beautiful setting, and the owners are more than willing to share the wealth.
It isn't uncommon for campgrounds to offer basic services such as electricity, TV and WiFi. However, there are others that provide full-service RV camping with all the amenities. I must admit that I have never been to Ballyhoo Family Campground. However, I would be willing to put my money on it being a great place to stay. According to me, Doris Watkins (the owner) is friendly and they will probably host future guests.
The best thing about the ballyhoo or batty is that they are family-owned and operated. This means that they will be happy to assist you when possible. You can contact them via the phone, email, or Facebook, or you can just show up on their doorstep. The site is situated in a lovely, wooded area, and there are a few nearby waterfalls to see if you're feeling brave enough to jump in the river. You should bring a jacket or light raincoat in summer.

You will find a small pond, some trees and adorable resident ducks among the many attractions of this campground. It is easy to see why this park is so popular with both families and travelers over the years. The campsite is just four miles away. It's also located in a peaceful, rural setting that is an absolute joy.
