Quail Creek state park is nearby if you want to explore the surrounding areas. This state park is located on the border of Quail Creek Reservoir, which offers excellent fishing opportunities. You can also go on a boat ride around the reservoir, or take a dip in its clear waters. The park also offers horseback riding and hiking.
Visitors are required to bring their own camping supplies. There are however a few things that can be purchased at the park. There are picnic tables, a fire pit, and a grill. You can also enjoy boating and swimming in two lakes at the park. A fishing boat can be rented for the day or booked as a guided fishing trip. The park is also on the shores Navajo Lake. It has a day-use facility.
