Cabela's is the home of many things, and one of those is an excellent RV park for the weary traveler. You can stay for free and have access to a multitude of useful features that will make your trip much more enjoyable. The amenities include a spacious horse pen, full hookups and dog kennels. This is a fantastic place to take your dog for some sun-soaked fun.
Although the campout isn't for the faint of heart, this is one of the best places in the country to go when you're on a tight budget. This is especially true for pets. Pet kennels can be rented for a nominal fee. The parking lot has potable water and a cleanout area for your cars. This is especially important if you visit during winter months, when the weather isn’t so favorable for hiking, biking, and boating.
Although the awnings, big green houses and other amenities may seem a little out of date, they are still top-notch. The museum even has a mini-museum with interesting items from years past. A game is also available for children. Overall, this RV park is great for weary travelers. They even have full hookups available for those who don’t have their own. The only issue is the excessive heat and noise, especially when there are refrigerator trailers running all night.
Cabela’s Park is great for many reasons. But, the real fun begins when you get outside your car. A huge display of wild life is available to view, along with the miniature museum mentioned and a variety of other attractions including an extensive selection of outdoor sporting gear.
